Role: Designer and Animator (full time)
Client: Delaware and Hudson Visitor Center
Studio: Trivium Interactive
The Delaware and Hudson Visitor Center wanted an interactive media exhibit that allowed visitors to explore attractions in the Delaware and Hudson Valley. The Delaware and Hudson Visitor Center wanted a custom interactive map display and touch screen kiosk for their visitor center. The purpose was to show users what attractions lay along the canal.
As designer on this project, I collaborated with the CD to design 2 Look and Feels; one light to match the exhibition graphics, one dark to contrast them. The client chose the light version. I then designed the user experience using sketches of wireframes to think through the user flow.
The approved Look and Feel had pops of color, fun iconography and a clean layout. I married the wireframes with the Look and Feel to create an easy-to-use, interactive map that allowed users to filter what types of sites they wanted to see. A large map above allowed multiple users to view the map in addition to the person standing at the touch screen.
